Upcoming Sessions
And some thoughts on "meaning"
Hello all,
As we approach Memorial Day during this cool weather week in the Northeast, my thoughts turn to three things:
Morning journaling
Upcoming classes—see below for the full list (May 26; June 11, 22 & 30)
Summer! Summer reading in particular—see the following email/post requesting your vote for another fun summer read.
Morning Journaling
Despite my long-term relationship with multiple notebooks, I do not follow a hard and fast rule about when to journal or how they should look.
Often, these days, I’ll use scrap paper to doodle and then let the words take shape.
This morning my pen led me to this:
Asking “why?” is a bit like sitting with a stone in the dirt, turning it & turning it & turning & wondering . . .
Then there’s moving from the why to the way: it comes as a feeling, the inner pull to stand up, stand tall, put down the weighted knapsack of ‘needing to know’ . . .
. . . and moving forward on the path, along the way, along my way, the path that reveals itself just a few feet at a time.
As Joseph Campbell said:
“If you can see your path laid out in front of you step by step, you know it’s not your path. Your own path you make with every step you take. That’s why it’s your path.”
Ironically, I’ve followed this particular path of reasoning many times, but it’s always a relief to find that the truth of it rolls out like a red carpet, beckoning me forward.
My last line was:
”Wow, the adventure of it.”
Have you taken the time recently to see what path your creativity wants to lead you on?
You don’t have to do anything, just make the space for it and follow where it leads.
Mark Your Calendar for these Upcoming Sessions

We missed doing this in April since I was on my “Vietnam Presentation Tour” and I missed the feeling of wrapping up the month.
Come to this session to take a look back at this month (photos, journal pages, calendar items, prayer lists) and see what you’d like to highlight and what lessons you’d like to keep.
Wednesday, June 11, 7-8:15 pm ET | FreeWriting for fun and discovery!
Wednesday is an unusual night for this but it could still be fun.
June 22, 4-5:15 pm ET | Solstice Tarot Writing with Amanda Wilson!
Monday, June 30, 7-8:15 pm ET | June Monthly Review.
